RE: Newer Apple Variety

I would have to agree 1000%. We start picking honeycrisp 3 yrs ago and found them to be great. I eat 2-4 apples a day this time of year. There is nothing better than going apple picking and picking one right off the tree and eating it right there. I have introduced 4-5 people i work with to these great apples and they love them too. I have 1 bushel of honeycrisp in the kitchen right now and i think i am going to go get one. They have become very popular over hte past few years. We have gone picking the last 2 weekend in a row and i think i am going to pick some more tomorrow as last year the orchard we pick at was all picked out in about 2 weekends. I picked 1 peck last sunday in the rain to ensure i would have plenty to get me through.

RE: Great Camping Chairs

I have to say that i am glad that people have found similar chairs for cheaper money!! I have seen similar chairs at all the stores that have been mentioned and have checked most of them out and they are not rated very highly. I will admit i am a big guy @ 350lbs and most of the chairs i have seen / tried out felt flimsy including the high end Lafuma chairs. I just figured i would post this up for anyone who needs a chair with a high rating. Enjoy your chairs. I know i will!!!

RE: Any Concerns about Theft while away

Absolutely!!! I keep it locked up and i keep a vehicle parked in front of it at all times. I also chock the wheels. It is fully insured but i would hate to loose it. As some said before, if a thief really wants it they will get it.

RE: Great Camping Chairs

Rollincool, The Clicky doesn't seem to be working. Anyway, the ones you picked up were rated for 400lbs? I would have to see it to believe it. Most of the chairs i have seen have a rating of 250-300lbs at the max.

RE: Where is everyone going Columbus Day weekend?

We are headed to the Woodstock NH KOA for the end of the season campout. The white mountains should have great color and should be beautiful. It should be really cool up there too so a campfire will be really nice.

RE: We've Been Robbed!

So sorry for your loss!!! This story sounds awefully fishy though. I have looked at the VIN on my TT and sure you could etch it out with a grinding wheel and then put a new vin on there but anyone with half a clue would be able to tell. Are you sure this lady is canada is for real? Where is your 5ver right now? DO the canadian police have it in their possesion? This whole story just smells bad. I hope in the end you get made whole. I am grateful i can keep my TT on the property and i see it at least twice a day. I also have it blocked in with a vehicle most of the time and the tongue is locked.

RE: Glass milk bottles/Price of gas was great!

WE have a farm here in my home town that still sell milk in glass quart bottles. It is fantastic!!!! They have the best milk (all flavors) hands down!!! There chocolate is to die for!! and their eggnog in november and december is even better. The name of the place is called Shaw Farm in Dracut Ma. If you are ever in town or even close its worth the drive and if you ask they will show you their cows!!

RE: Big Guy and Light weight travel trailer...durability issues?

WE have an 05 KZ 2809 with the rear Queen slide and have had no problems. I am 5'11" 350lbs on a good day and the DW is 5'8" and not to far behind me weight wise and we have had no problems with the floor, bed or shower. Like giblet says the shower doesn't give when i step in there and that scored big points for me and the bride. The floor does flex a bit but not enough to worry about it and the queen is solid as a rock. The bed doesn't have any give in it either. We really like the KZ line of products. Both sets of steps are very solid as well..

RE: Next stop, SW Maine and White Mountains

Danforth is nice but last time i checked it wasn't exactly in the white mountains. Same with MiTeJo's. Again a super campground but not in the mountains by any stretch. There are plenty of campgrounds in the mountains. If you are looking for a nice campground, check out the Broken Branch KOA in North Woodstock, NH. This is not a resort campground but it is a really nice place that is well cared for with great hosts. There is also the littleton NH KOA. Camped at Moose Hillock a few years ago and was disappointed. Granted they have a great pool but its very hilly and i didn't think the sites were anything great. But to each their own.

RE: Weber Q220 report...

We have had the Weber Baby Q for quite a few years now and we really love it. It is great. We have a Weber Silver B for about 10yrs now at the house and you can't beat it. I would not buy any thing other than Weber.

RE: Installed new 4R100HD tranny in the Excursion.

"Substandard" but it lasted 115K miles? Hmmmmm.......... I wouldn't be happy if an automatic only lasted 115,000 miles. I'm with this guy for sure!!! 115000 is nothing today unless the transmission wasn't services properly. I have 185000 on a my last truck and the trans was still strong and pulled good.

RE: No power to prodigy brake controller..Need Help

I just put a prodigy in my 06 2500 HD and had to put a 40 amp fuse in the fuse block under the hood. On mine there was a red blank in the spot. Looking at the fuse block from the drivers side of the truck, the red blank was located on the left side of the fuse block near the top.

RE: My wife wants to drive my truck to work

The wife and i just did this and its working out great. I drive 120 miles round trip to work daily and she stays at home with the little one. So i just traded my 2000 2500 for a 2006 2500 and she drives the truck and i took her car. Just the money i have saved in fuel costs is great and so what if she drives the truck. I bought the truck to tow the TT because i love camping. For those of you who say that if he can afford the truck he should be able to afford a driver car, thats the dumbest thing i have heard today. Smarten up you clowns!!

RE: 4L80E problems

I put 190000 mile on my last one and only changes the fluid and filter once. Was a great transmission for me.
